Self-fulfilling prophecy?

I almost gave up in the first ten minutes, but fortunately I dragged the progress back and forth before I quit. It is right not to give up hope, although not blindly optimistic. I happened to read an impressive sentence today. No prophecy is self-fulfilling. Whether the prophecy can be fulfilled depends on how people react to the prophecy. For example, the prophecy of a nuclear war between the United States and the Soviet Union makes people try to avoid it. So knowing that there may be a disaster in the future is not scary, what is scary is to take it as a necessity and do nothing. There is no such thing as optimism or pessimism. The important thing is to see the possibility, no matter whether it is good or bad, and not give up fighting for the good possibility. It's not the possibility of being selective and not looking bad like the heroine. But sometimes, not knowing that there is a bad possibility is more likely to keep hope and struggle, but this hope is fragile, not a hope that can really support going on in the long run. Blow up the tower that tells people bad prophecies and build a new world a bit too shallow Definition of hope, selective not to see bad things blindly optimistic

Tomorrowland quotes

  • [after the whole sequence where young Frank first arrives in Tomorrowland]

Frank Walker: And then everything went to hell...

    Casey Newton: Oh boy...

    Frank Walker: Well it did...

Casey Newton: So you gave them like one second of blue skies and jetpacks and hope...

Frank Walker: It's important! They need to know the stakes!

Casey Newton: I think they can figure out clocks counting down are bad.

Frank Walker: Do you want to tell the story?

Casey Newton: No, you're doing fine.

Frank Walker: Because if you think you can tell the story better, I would absolutely love to hear you try...

    Casey Newton: Wow really?

    Frank Walker: Really!

Casey Newton: Well I guess technically I am more qualified...

Frank Walker: Are you? How so?

Casey Newton: Because unlike you... I'm an optimist.

  • Nix: Oh, bollocks.
