An excellent film combining science fiction mathematics and social implication, full of experimentation and not blunt, five-star recommendation.

I didn't think it was very scary because I watched "Terror Cruise" before, so I had a little confidence to challenge this one.
At the beginning of the film, the killing mechanism is gorgeously displayed, which is shockingly reminiscent of Resident Evil. Then there was another bloody hand, showing another face. While I was wondering, I fell into different people from the lower entrances of the room like eggs, and all of a sudden, there were five people in the room.
Luckily I wasn't claustrophobic or else I would have fainted.
The room followed the endless room of the room, this piece is also called the two-dimensional killing array. A killing array full of organs.
The room that can't go out is very similar to the endless cycle of "Terrorist Cruise" until it consumes everyone to death.
The plot is really just to see how people die. The overall thriller is average, but the rhythm is really good. The challenge mode is launched from the beginning, and there are accidents all the way to the last minute. Hanging people's hearts can never let go.
The brilliance of the story lies in the psychological changes of the characters. The various factions of the society represented by several people have hidden residences, and a lot of battles are set up to be considered representative.
First, the police: originally represented justice and enthusiasm, willing to help others and bravely taking the lead, but too much wanted to be a leader to command and control others, and there was disdain in his eyes that others were inferior to him. Later, the desire for control and evil escalated from killing and being forced to be killed by teammates, and finally jumping out to kill other people, the person with the strongest desire to survive, and finally died tragically.
Doctor: At first, I was a little bit hysterical, thinking that everyone was going to die, and that I couldn’t find the motivation to survive. Later, after overcoming difficulties, he gradually regained his courage, and because he helped fools, his moral feelings were paramount, which eventually led to the dissatisfaction of the police and was eliminated.
Architect: The builder of the Rubik's Cube, because he entered the Rubik's Cube because of guilt, he has lost hope in life, and he came in to atone for his death. Later, he was motivated by his teammates and clashed with the police at every turn. The seemingly neutral calm person later became angry and the main force eliminated the police, and was eventually killed by the police.
Student: I panicked and then found out that my knowledge was the key to everyone's life, so I was complacent, and my words were triumphant. Later, after experiencing a series of changes, I became mature and regarded as a relatively positive role.
Fool: A born genius is unfortunately also an idiot, the cleanest person who was hated several times and almost abandoned.
Flying Condor: The person who dies the earliest, and the person who is proud of one sentence and does not look at others will die the fastest.
Several main characters basically have at least three different psychological stages of change, which are worth scrutinizing.
They should also represent different social classes to reflect the whole society.
The police are on behalf of maintaining justice and controlling order. Later, they turned to harm people for survival, and became the worst person. Individualism and the desire to survive are strongest and can be defined as activism.
The doctor is a life saver but also a delusional person, anti-social and the biggest skeptic. Repeated conflicts are not tolerated by the police and are the opposite of the police.
Architects know the most and are the darkest, defined as decadent.
Students are scholars, representing knowledge and power.
Fools represent purity and hope, those who are not recognized by the mainstream because of their own shortcomings.
The film uses these status symbols that represent different groups of people to have a certain meaning, and some of the remarks directly point to the social image is very interesting.
The doctor said there must be someone leading this, someone watching us.
The police is that as long as we don't give up, there will definitely be a way out.
Students say that no one is without sin, as long as we live there are sins.
The architects said that no one was in charge. They made this thing just to get it, and then they were forgotten. They were brought in to prove that this thing was still useful.
This is much like many projects and construction projects now, which are completely useless to society, waste resources and do nothing, and can only be forgotten. The Rubik's Cube is the epitome of this society, and human beings will be extinct in the long run. What a voice of God!
In the end, all people (who are more or less guilty) are not allowed to get out of the Rubik's Cube and escape from the sea of misery. Only fools are pure and harmless, who can gain air and freedom and go to the world. This connotation makes people sad and terrified.

Cube quotes

  • Quentin: Listen, we can't go climbing around in here.

    Holloway: Why not?

    Quentin: There's traps.

Holloway: What do you mean traps?

Quentin: Booby traps. I looked in the room down there, and something almost cut my head off.

  • Quentin: [talking to Holloway] You listen to me, woman. Every day I mop up after your bleeding heart. The only reason you even exist is because I keep you!. I know your type. No kids, no man to fuck you. So, you go around outraged, sticking your nose up other people's assholes. Sniffing their business.
