The "Puppet Life" written by Charlie Kaufman uses a surreal approach to deconstruct personality and desires. While manipulating others, it satisfies self-desires, hides the personality under the appearance, and plays it tirelessly. The self controlled by desire is not a puppet of others. Three protagonists are used, Craig who is trapped in lust and loses himself, Roy who is awakened by lust and his own orientation, and Maxine, who is good at controlling lust and complete self, replace different degrees. And the stage of personality expression, the technique exquisitely expresses the miserable and absurd life of the puppet controlled by desire. Catherine Keener’s Queen Fan performed appropriately and became the highlight of the film.
