All plot development and character movement are like mathematical formulas, and all accidents are not "accidents". Coupled with the unimaginative scenes, movements, and costumes, this has turned into a bowl of unintentional Mala Tang. It is indeed numb and spicy, but it is really not enough.
Until the end of the film, the audience could not feel the real emotional ups and downs. The reason is other than the problem of story design as mentioned before. Moreover, because the characters are not full, the audience's emotional concentration for the characters in the play is not enough. Characters without "empathy" are difficult to impress people, and thus fail to bring them into the designed situation.
Someone, something, not just a story. There are zombies, there is high-tech that has not been interviewed, it is not horror and science fiction. There are no surprises in the story, and the box office is equally lackluster. The film's $61 million investment was halved in the U.S. box office in its first week, while when the first film was released in 2014, the first-week box office in the Philippines alone doubled the total investment.
About this movie, it's just, boring.
