Babadook in my eyes

I watched this film on the recommendation of a colleague , but I don't have much to say. The point I want to say is that the whole film gives me a sense of paying homage to "The Exorcist" filmed in 1973:

for example, there are women in the film. The protagonist and the little boy are sleeping on a bed that is constantly shaking. In the film, the heroine suddenly has strange superpowers (the most obvious one is suddenly kicking the door and kicking the door open), and her teeth are falling out (it seems that there is such a plot of being possessed by a ghost? ? For example, in "Hidden", the male protagonist lost his hair and teeth), the female protagonist was tied to the ground by the little boy, and the little boy yelled to help the female protagonist perform another form of "exorcism", and to In the end, the heroine carried out: Self-exorcism. "Aha, I have to mention that the main characters of "The Exorcist" are mother and daughter, and there is no husband, this film is replaced by mother and son, also without a husband

Sah !!!! After reading some of the above film reviews, most of them agree that the so-called Babadook is just a demon imagined by the heroine. I don't really agree.

In fact, I think the heroine in the film had her husband for seven years After my own death, I felt very, very guilty, so that the constant remorse every day made my heart not strong enough, allowing the devil to take advantage. And the medium of being possessed by the devil is the book called Babadook, the

devil incarnates into the heroine Risi Ye Xiang's husband constantly seduces the poor heroine through lies, and the incomprehension of outsiders in the film and her own bear child make the heroine devastated. The grief of losing her husband, the misunderstanding of her children by outsiders, and own the "hopeless" bear a child actress has been so painful, plus have had to endure the mental torture and temptation of the devil every day. heroine of the final collapse of the heart, success is possessed by the devil

child I I think they were all guarded by angels, so the bear child in the film opened his own guardian halo, tied the possessed mother with five flowers, and used his love for his mother to awaken the motherhood of the heroine. I have to say that the last scene is when When the mother guarded the child and challenged the devil needlessly, I was really touched.

Of course, the ending was not the devil just walked away. Don't forget that the devil is the heroine's husband. It was locked up In the basement, the tragedy may be repeated, but the devil is lurking underground and slowly waiting for the opportunity

Regarding the name Babadook, let me explain my own understanding. The first letter in lowercase is babadook. Then turn b upside down to make p, and finally it becomes papadook. Then the d in front of o is symmetrical, it becomes b, so the whole word becomes papa (dad) + book (book).

If you watch the movie from the angle of the devil, then you can explain why the babadook was destroyed. It can't be destroyed, the heroine got super powers at the end, and the little boy can clearly perceive the existence of babadook. There is also the last scene where the heroine hugs the air in the basement, and at the end the pot of earthworms is dragged over to be eaten.

Finally, let me make a comment. Does the devil like cockroaches and earthworms, or all kinds of insects? ? ? What the hell. . . .

The Babadook quotes

  • Amelia: [Samuel comes out from hiding and Amelia shrieks like a banshee. Amelia starts approaching Samuel, but he starts wetting himself.] You little pig. Six years old and you're still wetting yourself. You don't know how many times I wished it was you, not him, that died.

Samuel: I just wanted you to be happy.

Amelia: [mocking Samuel] I just want you to be happy. Sometimes I just want to smash your head against the brick wall until your fucking brains pop out.

Samuel: [softly] You're not my mother.

    Amelia: What did you say?

Samuel: I said you're not my mother!

    Amelia: I AM YOUR MOTHER!

  • Samuel: It wasn't me, Mum! The Babadook did it!
