After Skynet had an independent consciousness, he launched a bloody massacre on the human who created it. In the years that followed, John Connor (Jason Clarke) led a protracted war between his comrades and Skynet's robot army. After a crucial battle, Skynet sent the Terminator to Los Angeles in 1984 to attempt to kill John's mother Sarah (Emilia Clarke).
