we are miracles

From "The Miracle of Life", "The Miracle of the Solar System", "The Miracle of the Universe" to "The Human Planet", each of Professor Brian's films fully demonstrates the beauty and wonder of the universe, and that our lives are very precious.

Watching this series of BBC documentaries, I feel like I have made a trip through the past and the present, flying in the wonderful scenery of heaven and sea. For me, this documentary has rekindled my understanding of life, of myself, of mathematics and physics.

I still remember in junior high and high school, I was so tired of physics, mathematics and chemistry. In class every day, the teacher just explains the formula, and then does the questions, the questions, the questions. G=mg,Ca+OH=CaOH.F=mg..Pythagorean theorem, vector, parallelogram. I can't feel what Yang Zhenning said at all, I feel the poetry in physics. At that time, the science courses were for exams, further studies, and then finding a job and earning money.

In the three years of junior high school, after daily boring and boring mechanized problems, I hated mathematics and physical chemistry. Although the high school entrance examination results are not bad, I don't understand what science is and what these abstract symbols have to do with my reality.

Two objects of different weight, in a vacuum environment, will touch the ground at the same time. This was Galileo's great discovery. In the film, the professor comes to a huge laboratory, where bowling balls and feathers fall at the same speed in a vacuum chamber. The secrets of the universe are hidden here.

At that moment, a moving melody was naturally played. I watched and watched that clip of the bowling ball and the feather hitting the ground at the same time.

At that moment, I understood that a(t)=v`(t)=g, s(t)=ct², v=2ct are not some obscure characters, they are the keys to our understanding of this colorful world.

Galileo once said that mathematics is the language of nature. After leaving the school's exam-oriented education, I realized that entering a prestigious school is not for fame and fortune, but the search for knowledge is a game, an adventure to satisfy our curiosity.

Einstein once said,
"I believe in the God of Spinoza, who is manifested in the orderly harmony of things, and not in the God who is involved in the fate and conduct of mankind."

"Research in the fields of music and physics are different in origin, but are linked by a common goal, which is the desire to express the unknown. Their responses are different, but they complement each other. As for art Creation in science and science, then, here I fully agree with Schopenhauer that they are the desire to escape from the tedium of everyday life and to seek refuge in a world full of images created by us. The most powerful motivation for the world. The world can be made up of musical notes, or it can be made up of formulas for data. We try to create plausible images of the world that make us feel at home in there, and get access to what we do in our daily lives Unattainable stability in life."

If I have any belief system, I base my religion on science and reason.

Our world is colorful, yet, subject to simple, beautiful formulas. And amazingly, we can understand why the planets move and the laws they obey. It is possible to predict from which point on the horizon the sun will rise. The amount of heat that the sun hits the Earth's surface in a day can be calculated. Understand the basic elements that make up thousands of lives. The light from different galaxies can be used to infer what they are made of. And, how lucky are we in the 21st century that we were able to see the images of Mars sent back by the explorers, to see the sunset of another planet.
For the first time in human history, people living in the 20th century could not witness it with their own eyes.

Thinking of this, I have to agree that with the rapid development of computer technology, we are indeed living in the most golden age of exploration and discovery.

What is even more amazing is that human beings are the only civilization known so far that can think with a high degree of rationality. In the galaxy hundreds of thousands of light-years away, countless stars shine, but the earth is known. the only planet where life exists. Even on earth, we humans are extremely precious relative to other species, only we can invent machines to leave our footprints on the moon.
We are the wonders of the universe, and the wisdom and imagination we are born with are our most precious possessions. The most glorious value of human civilization is to constantly explore the unknown and enter new continents.
