As a peculiar, literary superhero film or ethical superhero film, the Hulk gives people a deep sense of disobedience.
Orientals are really complicated. Gu Long once claimed that Wang Dulu, the author of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, was the most influential writer of martial arts novels, followed by Jin Yong. After all, knights are not superheroes, whether it is Wang Dulu or Jin Guliang, the martial arts they wrote, or the martial arts in the hearts of Chinese people, have a strong heritage and humanistic connotation. Not to brag, not to be black, martial arts novels think about the human nature of society far more than superheroes.
If martial arts novels or martial arts movies were just fighting and fighting, we would call them bad, but not superhero movies. I can't think of anything good about a superhero movie, it's the constant fights, and we had a good time watching it, and it didn't make a superhero movie bad because of it.
I think I can easily and naturally substitute the feelings of Li Mubai and Yu Jiaolong, but I can't substitute the Hulk. In other words, for superheroes, I didn't expect to be in his emotional world at all, and the writer and director didn't expect me to go in, just watch the fight. Wen Yizai said that this kind of stinky problem cannot be easily overcome if you want to overcome it.
That's why Ang Lee's work appears to be different and a failure.
This is not Ang Lee's failure, nor is it a failure of superheroes, it only shows that these two really can't play together.
