I see the world

I don't remember who recommended Mad Men, but after watching it, I felt like I was pushed away from the American sitcom that I watched from high school to college. Every second looks good, everyone looks good in every eye and every puff of smoke.
In episode 12, Don's identity was almost revealed. In a panic, he found Rachel and wanted to fly away. Rachel's desperate eyes with tears in her eyes defeated me. She said that you don't love me at all. You don't want to take me away. You are just I want to go, I want to go alone. Those eyes are like your love, and my heart is a very precious thing, but if you can't cherish it well, you might as well take it back and keep it for yourself. "I still love you, but I can't be with you anymore".
In episode 13, Betty said to Don that he didn't want any family children. That sharp and determined look made me feel guilty and tremble for Don. Betty's depression didn't get better in the whole season, her husband is handsome and rich, and her child is well-behaved. She looks like she has everything, but she doesn't seem to have anything. Her life without accusation, she even pinned her hopes on the blessing of a 5-year-old child - "Tell me, I will be fine". At the end of this episode, Don regained the feeling of family in the projector advertisement case, playing the trajectory of a family of four in the darkness all around, moving light and shadow. He fell in love again with betty, who was splendid in his eyes, and the children who were deeply attached to him. After work, he flew home thinking about the touching meeting - back to Betty's hometown with Betty and the children. However, when I opened the door, I found that they had already left, and I could only sit on the stairs alone, feeling lost, what a dream it was just now.
Everyone is unhappy, and everyone sheds tears that no one knows about. I deeply pity them and myself.

Mad Men quotes

  • Pete Campbell: A thing like that!

  • Don Draper: Advertising is based on one thing: happiness. You know what happiness is? Happiness is smell of a new car. It's freedom from fear. It's a billboard on the side of the road that screams with reassurance that whatever you're doing, its okay. You are okay.
