British black and white suspense film, excellent photography

British suspense film, black and white, excellent photography, the music played by the zither runs through the whole film, which is very characteristic and very pleasant.

The three protagonists are Joseph Cotton, Alida Vardy, and Orson. Wells did a great job.

Harry's appearance, tracking in the sewers... classic black and white photography abounds.
The final scene was unexpectedly long, and the ending may have disappointed us, but it made the film even more memorable!

Friends who love suspense films and friends who love photography, this film is definitely not to be missed! Worth seeing again and again!

The Third Man quotes

  • Harry Lime: What did you want me to do? Be reasonable. You didn't expect me to give myself up... 'It's a far, far better thing that I do.' The old limelight. The fall of the curtain. Oh, Holly, you and I aren't heroes. The world doesn't make any heroes outside of your stories.

  • Maj. Calloway: I told you to go away, Martins. This isn't Santa Fe. I'm not a sheriff and you aren't a cowboy. You've been blundering around with the worst bunch of racketeers in Vienna, your precious Harry's friends, and now you're wanted for murder.

Holly Martins: Put down drunk and disorderly too.

    Maj. Calloway: I have.
