The expression on her face when she said this sentence is what moved me the most in the whole film.
The movie respects the original book very much, and
one of the biggest highlights is that the stepmother role is largely enriched. (I have to say that Blanchett's face value contributes a lot to its effect).
There are a few interesting things about the stepmother:
1. The stepmother: "You didn't say your daughter is so beautiful." The
