Before I watched this movie, I watched too many bad reviews, but I chose it among it and Lao Xu. Simply put, the probability that domestic films will be rotten is too high.
The focus of it as a bad film is generally focused on two points. One is that as a transitional film that connects the past and the next, "Mockingjay" is not full in plot, and there is no obvious climax in the whole film.
Looking back on the "Rise of the Apes 2" that caused a sensation in 2014, as a transitional film, the evaluation of "Mockingjay" and "Rise of the Apes 2" is far behind. It must be admitted that "Rise of the Planet of the Apes 2" is a very rare masterpiece, but "Mockingjay" is definitely not a bad work when put together with it.
The contradictions of the characters in "Mockingbird" are by no means less than those in the two previous works. The protagonist and heroine shout in the air, and the people around him fan the flames; the confrontation and compromise between the heroine and the president of the 13th district; the congressional district that symbolizes the power and the other 13 districts opposition.
The plot tempo is too slow, which also seems to be a common problem of the "Hunger Games" series. The early foreshadowing is too long and the first two climaxes have supported the movie, but "Mockingjay" did not bring a plot climax. But isn't the revolution so gradual? Just like the songs sung by Lawrence, the early stage was slow to pave the way, and the later stage rose up little by little.
The second point that has been widely criticized is that the entry point of its plot is to "make a promotional film." After a brief glance at the film reviews, most people say that "Mockingbird" is educating the public on how to make a promotional film, other than the promotional film. The voice generally believes that it is satirizing the media.
Isn't it satirizing politics? Whether in the Congress District or the 13th District, aren't all the shots of the media satirizing politics?
Finally, let me talk about two well-known advantages. The soundtrack is so good. The whole article is looping through Lawrence's The Hanging Tree. Lawrence's acting skills didn't say anything.
In the past, I like to say a movie line at the end of the article, but after thinking about it, I still borrowed a sentence from "The Rebel". Rebellion is a virtue.
