war - torture for all mankind

Torture against humanity, but not for no information at all.
Tracking a line may end without success, may be messy and disorderly, and even if it can be harvested, it will not take seven or eight years to take a long time. There is no life of one's own at all, the spirit is greatly destroyed, and it is very likely that the country will take the blame. Even so, the people who will devote themselves to it are very religious people. This is somewhat similar to terrorists in the purely spiritual realm.
Analysis only, no guarantee. Maya's 100% oath is actually the same as Jessica's belief in the other party and the elimination of inspections, resulting in the killing of 7 officers and soldiers. They all believe their own analysis, but the results are very different.
Maya's last tears show that there is always only a victor in a war, and there is no winner.

Trivia:
1. The movie was originally about the failure to hunt down bin Laden for ten years. After he was killed, the script was rewritten.
2. The raid on bin Laden at the end of the film lasted about 25 minutes, but in fact the action of the SEALs was only a few minutes at most.
3. Jessica Chastain originally rejected the role of Maya, but the film's producer Megan Ellison once worked with Chastain in "Lawless". He gave Chastain's private number to the film's director Kathryn Bigelow, and she personally lobbied for Chastain's success.
4. Rooney Mara used to be the actor who was supposed to play Maya.
5. James Cameron had agreed to direct the film, but gave up because of the production of "Avatar 2" and instead directed it by his ex-wife Kathryn Bigelow.
6. Kathryn Bigelow chose Jessica Chastain to play Maya because she saw the first cut of Coriolanus.
7. The screenwriter, director, producer, and many crew members of this film are the original cast of "The Hurt Locker".
8.Joel Edgerton was originally one of the starring roles, but was replaced by Jason Clarke due to scheduling conflicts. But he still played a different role in the film.
9. At one point, Tom Hardy, Idris Elba and Guy Pearce were all considered for a role in the film.

The Academy Award for Best Director was not nominated, but for Best Picture? After reading it, I feel that if you must choose one of the two, it should be the other way around...

It is indeed more realistic than most war movies (not to mention spy movies). The plot and rhythm of the story are very restrained and do not slide in the direction of melodrama. The kind of drama that takes out the photo of the fiancée today and will die tomorrow is absolutely No, no tears, no shock, a relatively calm and restrained point of view, to see the director’s intentions; John Barrowman appears for five seconds, haha; I’m curious to tell the American audience if there is a sense of restraint in telling such a story.

Zero Dark Thirty quotes

  • National Security Adviser: If this was political, we'd be having this conversation in October when there's an election bump. This is pure risk, based on deductive reasoning, inference, supposition, and the only human reporting you have is six years old, from detainees who were questioned under duress. The political move here is to tell you to go fuck yourself and remind you that I was in the room when your old boss pitched WMD Iraq. At least there you guys brought photographs.

George: You know, you're right. I agree with everything you just said. What I meant was, a man in your position, how do you evaluate the risk of *not* doing something? Hmm? The risk of potentially letting bin Laden slip through your finger. That is a fascinating question.

  • Patrick - Squadron Team Leader: [approaching the bin Laden compound] Who here has been in a helo crash before?

    [every hand goes up]

Patrick - Squadron Team Leader: Okay, so we're all good.
