Maybe my impression of 1984 is too bad. .
I didn't think of

Brazil at all - dystopia, satirical bureaucracy + consumerism

1984 - anti-totalitarianism

said that Brazil can also be anti-totalitarian. But this totalitarianism is different from the totalitarianism of 1984. . No leader worship, no moral police, etc.

Personally, I have no interest in the subject matter of 1984. . The land shots are also average, only have a spirit of resistance to totalitarianism under the Cold War mentality, and the rest do not have the strength to reflect, using one ideology to oppose the other. Making a movie is like writing a textbook. . Looking at 1984 is not as vivid as reading history directly. .

Brazil's value is more permanent, and it's ironic to put it now! ! This is the real dystopian satire! A very clever movie. .

I think everyone is thinking too much about their own national conditions! ! Watching a movie is like watching a political education movie. .

Don't waste every minute of this movie, every minute is allusion and new experience

An allegory about the system and individual idealism, told in absurd postmodern form, with nonsense, weird, and incredible scenes throughout, I couldn't help laughing, but when this innocent clerk died, although the world was still noisy, it made me laugh. People are inexplicably quiet inside. Those thick smog, the steam roaring out of the pipes, gradually covered the heart from the film, and the memories became more and more depressing.
