For your birthday

A song written to Mason by Ethan Hawke in Linklater's "Boyhood." After reading some interviews, I couldn't find the original English words (in fact, the English is bad), so I picked up the Chinese subtitles and changed them to the general idea.
The title "For Your Birthday" was made by me.
If someone records English, finds a resource, and posts it to me...thank you.

---bang~bang~bang~began to sing---

I want us to be together forever
but linger in a misty destination

I want to make you relaxed
but still keep me here

I want you to approach me
But I choose to remain mysterious

and think over all of this.

climbed to the top of the mountain. I

reached out to touch the stars and
grabbed the tiger’s tail.

If you go home, you
People who are desperate cannot step into the same river twice.

Love too much, it becomes hate and
never leave home. Of course, they will not be late.
Eat too much and get fat.
If you buy a dog, you will be offended. cats

take a deep breath
attention in the past
because there is scattered with poly

Boyhood quotes

  • Dad: [Mason Jr. bowls a gutterball] Alright, don't worry about it.

Mason: I wish I could use the bumpers...

Dad: You don't want the bumpers, life doesn't give you bumpers.

  • Samantha: [as the family leaves their house for the last time before moving] Goodbye, yard! Goodbye, crepe myrtle! Goodbye, mailbox! Goodbye, box of stuff Mommy won't let us take with us but we don't want to throw away. Goodbye, house, I'll never like Mommy as much for making us move!

Mom: Samantha! Why don't you say goodbye to that little horseshit attitude, okay, because we're not taking that in the car.
