I believe many people have seen The Talented Mr Ripley (1999), since I watched Talented Mr Ripley a few years ago, I re-watch it every six months. I think everyone has a few movies in their life that are named their favorites And the masterpiece, and re-watch the aftertaste from time to time.
After watching the film of the genius Ripley, most people will feel guilty and examine their own life and soul, and fear the darkness and cruelty of human nature. The interpretations of several leading actors wonderfully restore the original novel.
Matt Damon plays Ripley, a poor boy who has strayed into high society. He loses himself in the fleeting wealth, which leads him to murder his friends and take his identity to maintain his petty bourgeoisie life.
Jude Law plays the slutty and amorous rich boy, Ripley is sent by his father to find him to return to China,
Gwyneth (Iron Man's female secret) plays Jude Law's girlfriend, innocent and sincere.
Cate Blanchett (Queen of the Lord of the Rings, Blue Jasmine) was deceived by Ripley's high-class status to become a rich girl, and she was simply deceived.

When Ripley lies and kills in the film, it reminds me of how nervous and lucky I was when I was a kid, but he was lucky and cunning and got it every time. While this film awes and introspects me, I have never found a film that can be classified as similar and compared, which is why I like to review it. After so long, I finally found 2 films that can be compared with the genius Ripley. Just like the fluke of doing bad things and the dark side of human nature.

The first is Woody Allen's Match Point (2005). In the film, Jonathan Meyers (Henry VIII of the Tudor Dynasty) is also a poor boy who has been married to an upper-class family. , Luck blessed him to rise to the sky and defend the fruits of his struggles without any risk.

The second is Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), Colin Farrell (London Avenue, Total Recall) and Ewan McGregor (Big Fish, Moulin Rouge), two poor brothers who want to make a fortune Worked and killed for his gangster uncle, just when life was getting better, the brothers turned against each other and perished.

The above three films have excellently portrayed the weakness and dark side of human nature, arrogant, arrogant, greedy, lustful, suspicious and gullible, and a lot of psychological descriptions stimulate the audience's resonance and thinking. These characters are ordinary people who are sad and happy, righteous and evil. The audience's sympathy for them and the hope of their destiny, together with their fall in human nature and the dramatic turn of the plot, form a tense movie-watching experience.
That said, I recommend it to everyone,
The Talented Mr Ripley (1999)
Match Point (2005)
Cassandra's Dream (2007)
