Watched two Tim Burton movies in a row. I feel that this work nearly ten years ago is significantly better than the new work "Alice in Wonderland". Of course, the most amazing thing is the superb skills of the makeup artist. If the classic version of "Journey to the West" on CCTV in the 1980s could invite him to do makeup, it would be even more perfect. The most amazing thing is that there are several well-known actors. Even if they wear "gorilla costumes", they can still vaguely tell who is playing. This is really awesome. For example, the old ape who sold human slaves was very much like Paul Giamatti, who was nominated for the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. So I found his name in the cast list at the end of the film. The ending of the film is even more unexpected, but in ten years, we regret not to see a sequel.
