"Shaolin Temple" film review: no desire can be higher

It has been more than 30 years since I watched "Shaolin Temple" for the first time, and only when I watched it again did I know what a peak is. "Shaolin Temple" is precisely because the martial arts films in the past failed to fight, and only with the help of voice can the splendor of the fight be shown. Later, due to the improvement of shooting technology and the application of special effects, the fighting films became more visually beautiful, and the actors did not need to exert any effort at all. "Shaolin Temple" is a film in the middle, and there are not many stunts to show the actor's own strength.

There are not many stunts in "Shaolin Temple", but it relies on real kung fu, and it is this point that makes this film popular. The promotion of Chinese martial arts is also the myth of Chinese martial arts. It took decades to truly understand our national martial arts, which is a sports event, not a magical skill.

I've watched too many action movies before I found out about this movie. Fighting is the real fight. Today's fighting films are already high-tech films, magical myths, seductive for the eyes but not for the heart. The fighting in "Shaolin Temple" is at the level of the national team. What other films will use so many martial arts athletes to make a film in the future?

The fighting moves in "Shaolin Temple" are all performed by the actors themselves, and they can't be repeated. Such films are of course inefficient, but they leave us with a lasting memory. "Shaolin Temple" uses images to record the beauty of the human body. I've always seen martial arts and dance as one type of behavior. Martial arts is nothing but an aggressive dance. The biggest role of "Shaolin Temple" is to record such a process.

"Shaolin Temple" inherits the way of the original Hong Kong martial arts film, and the plot is simple. That is, the just side is cruel to the unjust side, and the unjust side is cruel. Wulin zhishi are all with benevolence and righteousness to rescue and get love. "Shaolin Temple" also has such a plot, which is not worth thinking about. When we watch a movie, we can just focus on the actors. As for why the film chooses the theme of monks, is it because the more undesired people who practice martial arts, the better their achievements?

All the actors in "Shaolin Temple" are on fire. How can there be a movie that can complete so many actors? That's what makes a landmark movie.

After so many years, I still have time to watch this film slowly, just look at their vigorous posture, and I can also intoxicate myself. After a few years of mentioning martial arts, I might have to take a look at this film. (Li Rui)
