Even after watching 8 episodes, I gave up decisively. I have never seen such a tortured protagonist before, I thought it would be torture to escape from prison. The biggest purpose of these serials back then was to scare you, intimidate you, and put the coffin out without tears. To say that it sounds good is to cater to the audience's taste, and to say that it sounds bad is bad taste. The development of TV and movies to the current level, all kinds of illogical, reluctant, intense and endless dangers and choices in 24 hours, although "exciting", but obviously not enough "playing". The audience is becoming more and more savvy, especially when the audience realizes that the viewing process is an experience of projecting emotions, and the behavior of manipulating the audience's emotions in 24 hours is really lame.
It's been 13 years since the first season, and it's not fair to judge 24 hours by the level of current episodes. Looking back at the episodes that have accompanied me over the years, I am very happy to see that even on a small screen, there has been rapid progress in personalized expression, and the depth of thought and artistic attainments have reached unprecedented heights. Haha, how lucky I am to be born in the same era as Poison Master, Ice and Fire, House of Cards, True Detective and so on! !
