The wheels of history are rolling forward

"The grievances of life and death in those passionate years are just like everything we are familiar with. The people who rebuild the city, no matter how much blood and tears they pay, as time goes by, they end up like a spring dream, but there is no trace." The

ending makes the movie get sublimation. There is no difference between the enemy and the friend, they are just the victims of the times, and the wheels of history are always rolling forward.

When the army swept the petitioners with guns and gunpowder, they remembered Lu Xun's "Remember Liu Hezhen". Obviously, the scenes in the movie are bloodier than those in Lu Xun's works. The revolution cannot avoid bloodshed and sacrifice, but it is too heavy.

But the first half of the film was really brilliant, but the more it became more incomprehensible later, it’s a pity
