There are many inspirational movies, this one should be the one that impressed me the most. Compared to "Coach Carter" especially. This one is Denzel Washington holding up the whole film and "The Card" is Samuel L. Jackson. But this "Glorious Years" shows something more real on the playing field. It's about football, it's about race, it's about friendship and that commitment. The most touching thing is how strong Gary was when he lay in the hospital~!
Mainstream inspirational films, although the storyline is very popular, the content based on real events is even more moving.
There are many small details that make the whole film more warm and real, such as the handshake of Gary's girlfriend and Julie, the appearance of the two coaches' daughters before and after. The common acceptance and flexibility of the two coaches before and after! , ...
In a sports movie, it shows what it looked like during the black movement in the United States, that unreasonable share of the last common struggle.
Sports knows no borders or races, because sports high school kids get together, gradually merge, and eventually develop great friendships. Although the ending is a little bit sad~! Regarding the actor, I went to see this movie because of Denzel Washington, but I would say that even without him, this movie is also worth watching because it presents a spirit, a kind of youth that should have The way ~! But with Denzel, it is valued more by people. Denzel's aura is really strong. There is a rare temperament in black people, similar in appearance to Dr. J, but the aura is a bit like Jordan!
It's been a long time since a movie has brought tears to my eyes, but Gary's conversation with Julie in the hospital in this "Glorious Years" is so touching, everyone will be touched by his optimism! This may be the so-called positive energy that is popular nowadays! (⊙_⊙)
