Martin is an imaginary character, not you, not him. It was supposed to go to a plant conference in Germany to introduce new varieties, but someone more powerful fell in love with the scientist and wanted to kill him and get new technology in exchange for black money.
Martin uses bits and pieces of incomplete memory, plus the female taxi driver who smuggled in, to pursue the truth.
How can I put it, Martin himself is a real killer, being used and, in the end, trying to get rid of those shackles.
