2010-12-11 The story is old-fashioned, suspenseful and childish, with many out of place thrillers, lack of details, and ridiculously thin characters. Far from Shutter Island - an equally suspenseful story that makes for a rather engrossing atmosphere. The failure of this film can be entirely blamed on the director and screenwriter.

With a score of 6.8, this is an adaptation of Stephen King's novel. No wonder it feels like "Ten Days in Crisis". It's a pity that even though it is adapted from famous works, the script is a second-rate script, and the level of suspense is not as good as "Hide and Seek". This is the split personality joke that many Internet or influential novelists like to use now. Fortunately, Johnny Depp's acting skills are the mainstay.
Mort: [Mort and his conscience arguing and pushing each other; his conscience is screaming at Mort making him unable to speak] Rah. Rah. Rah. Rah.
Mort: I don't care. I'm just gonna smoke. I'm just gonna totally smoke. I'll finish these, go to the store and get a brand-new pack, smoke the shit out of that one.
