At first, Dubey felt a little clever and funny, and when he appeared on the scene, he fought wits with his master, but later changed with his encounter with Alice. The first time he met Alice, he was attracted by her gentle and kind demeanor. Later, I saw her trying on the bride's sari secretly, and I learned that she was eager to get married, and I was even more impressed by her pure and simple beauty. Dubey picked the marigolds while working again, and pondered his feelings for Alice while eating. He knew that Alice was fascinated by marriage and love, and he knew better that he really fell in love with her, so he changed from being a coward to an excellent working class with ideals and courage. Chewing the marigolds represents Dubey's determination to pursue Alice.
In the final reunion scene, the host's wedding was lively, and Dubey and Alice also held a small wedding ceremony with the celebration of several migrant workers. Even Dubey and Alice from the lower class working class can have dreams and pursuits. They are simple and kind, find their lifelong partner, and bravely accept and trust each other. As the classic Indian saying goes, "Only a valiant warrior falls from his horse, how can a coward on his knees know what a fall is?" Together they ate the marigold, a beautiful symbol of commitment, permanence and happiness .
