The verdict of justice does evil, the violent machine abuses violence, uses a lie to cover up another lie, and society turns black and white. "The Shady Story of the Police" is heartbreaking to watch, and my chest is blocked. The police department in the film is no different from the gangsters, and in a way, they are even worse than the gangsters. Even if the early movies were about the underworld, they would tell the good underworld to defeat the bad underworld, but against the background of the vast snow, the Russian police were extremely corrupt, a mess of mud and scum. On a realistic level, the film reminds people of some popular events in the surrounding reality. Whether it is up or down, people no longer believe in the law, believe that the law is useless, and turn to treat each other in a violent way. The unspoken public anger has brought more innocent harm, like a snowball that is getting bigger and bigger, and will eventually bring about the end of this society. From a movie point of view, "The Shadow of the Police" is like a remixed version of the best film "Child Pose" at the 2013 Berlin Golden Bear Award. That movie was also a car accident that triggered a chain reaction, exposing the fragility of people's hearts and the deep contradictions between social classes. Therefore, it is hard not to remind people of the rough and ferocious Romanian New Wave of movies, which is also a line of realism. The accident caused the confrontation between the two classes. The film's story is condensed into one day, a small closed city, emphasizing the violent eruption after high-intensity crushing. But unlike the sympathy and understanding of "Children's Pose", the emotional core of "Police Shady" is cold and unforgiving, painful and hopeless. The only thing that's not so convincing is in the hut, where the police ask the woman: If your husband kills someone, will he turn himself in? The woman's silence seems to represent the director's moral judgment, that is, most ordinary people, out of selfishness, must want to hide and escape from prison. However, this kind of silence does not mean that the film's values are established. At most, "Police Shady" is the director's hatred and dissatisfaction with the police, and his disappointment and criticism of the society. As long as the snow is still falling, no one is innocent. As long as there is a violent organization with one hand covering the sky, everyone is the same person, and there is zero sense of security - because no one can guarantee that the next person who is knocked down on the road will not be you. This "Police Insider" was a finalist for this year's Cannes Film Festival's Critics' Week, and was supported by a number of directors and critics. Even though it's still a rookie work, from a technical point of view, like the long-take photography and the soul-stirring soundtrack, it's already significantly higher than other competition films, full of energy and unusually old-fashioned. The woman's husband broke into the police station with a shotgun. The police officers in the corridor were frightened to death. A long shot brought everyone into the tense atmosphere where their lives were on the line. The expressions were close-up and the emotions were magnified. Oh complete. In the eyes of the police, in order to cover up the truth and fabricate lies, they regard other people's lives as waste, shoot like children's play (even in the face of police colleagues), and use fists The class is already polite. This kind of terrifying story can't help but make people wonder what they are defending. The system is like an impregnable wall, whether they are afraid of their superiors or out of selfishness, so they are willing to risk their own and others' lives... The movie pours a weak point on the protagonist. The sympathy, he was afraid, he was willing to take responsibility but was dragged into the water by other comrades, but in the end, he still raised the gun and became the heinous guy. The way to eliminate one tragedy is to create more tragedies. In the face of such police, they are no different from terrorists. Perhaps, when the protagonist ran away excitedly and went to rescue the woman, many people still had optimism about the direction of the story, but soon, "Police Insider" shattered everything. In dealing with this transition, however, "Police Insider" is somewhat sloppy and unconvincing.
