Where is the 69th edition win? The victory lies in the optimistic temperament that always shows up.
Where does the 2010 version win? The victory lies in the control of brain capacity and details, as well as the handsome uncle.
The 69 version looks significantly more optimistic than the 2010 version.
First of all, girls. In the first part, the little girl is a brave blond tomboy in a small leather jacket, who is accurate and decisive, and is rebellious and stinged. In a word, she is like an ak-47 with fierce firepower and reliable.
In contrast, the 2010 version of the little girl's overall tone is dark, her hair (long hair, braided), and her clothes make her look depressed. Moreover, the child still has a cute face, looks very immature, wearing that big windbreaker that doesn't fit, it arouses people's desire for protection. The little girl in the film is not as aggressive as the 69 version, but a reconciliation between two impulsive men. In a word, she is like the babysitter of two policemen, and she is more sound-minded than the two policemen.
Second, men. In the old version, one of the old policeman and the little policeman is an informal, passionate man, and the other is a passionate man of mother-in-law-in short, they are all men. The specific manifestation is that if there is a dispute, you can also divide the alcohol and drink, and continue to fight the monsters as if they were nothing after the quarrel.
However, in the 2010 version, it’s different. The uncle is a drunk who is unruly, eccentric and sensitive in his heart. Due to the technical limitations of the 69th edition of the era, everything from costumes to sets was brighter, and many of the episodes that happened at night were carried out in the sun. For example, for the first time the old and young policemen harmed each other, the little girl said to adjust the atmosphere, "May I tell you the story of the'midnight visitor'?" I was stunned. What did you say about midnight visitor in the afternoon? Ghost stories are not in this rhythm! Later, I read the 2010 version and realized that this should be a story that happened in the dark. In short, because the color tone is very bright, so the whole show has a kind of high-spirited temperament.
In the 2010 version, the color tone is a lot darker. First of all, the costumes are basically dark (except for the policeman). Secondly, a large number of plots take place in the night, snow, and rain, and the tones are colder and darker. Gives people a sense of tension and oppression.
Fourth, the soundtrack. The 69 version of the soundtrack is a combination of jazz and exciting marches. The beauty and tenderness of jazz and the passion of marches complement each other. Especially when the old policeman was one enemy four, the music he played was like a song for the knights to go on a strong march, the years of burning passion!
The 2010 soundtrack, the low voice of piano and strings all reveal the melancholic temperament of literature and art, and it is just right to match the film.
Fifth, the plot. I said that the most important loss of 69 than the 2010 version is brain capacity. The so-called brain capacity is the rationality of the plot. We have already discussed the "midnight visitor". There are also some details that the Coen brothers deliberated more carefully. For example, the relationship between Indians in the new edition is more practical. For example, the old policeman asked for directions along the way to find the robbers. Although he knew better about the red zone, he still needs to inquire about it. This is more true. In version 69, it seems that the police have their own GPS, that is, they can find the hut.
But there is one thing I think the new version is a bit strange. . . It was the first scene of the little girl and the little policeman. In the old version, the two met in the restaurant downstairs. The little policeman didn't reach a point. Then the little policeman invited the little girl to have a supper in the restaurant one night. But in the new version, the two looked at each other in adultery outside the house, and then the little policeman entered the room and sat before the girl got up the next morning. I want to say that the United States was not so open at that time, okay? ? ? Why did the Coen brothers design the plot like this? At first, I felt that the little policeman was a strange creature of misbehavior!
Sixth, details. The details of the old version are very rough, shooting, setting, lines, plot, this roughness is in line with the main theme of the film's opening and closing. The details of the new version are very delicate, the costumes and makeup of the protagonist to the supporting role are all exquisite, the color of the snowy scene is just right, and the scene of the girl and Xiaoheiduhe is extremely wonderful. Even the character's style of behavior has been scrutinized. The girls became a lot of ladies, they didn't stand up to the elders, and were witty and shrewd. Before they set off, they stole the grotesque Apple used to fight disobedience, instead of slapping people with a hat like a man in the old version. The police officers of all sizes seem to be a lot of prestige, but this is a well-designed one, one more is not more, one less is a lot, and every pose must be accurate.
When watching these two dramas, the contrast of Buddha statues always appeared in my mind. The old version of the thunder of the earth is the Buddha statue of the Tang Dynasty. The new version of Earth Thunder is like a Buddha statue in the Jin Dynasty, thin, elegant, and there is always a lingering regret and sadness in the plot.
