Some discussions on the "Chain Saw" series

7 together, said it

looked like so many horror movies, most clothing is the "Saw" series.
There have been mixed praises and criticisms for this series, and the first three have been recognized by the audience and have a good reputation. Opinions on the next few parts began to diverge. Many people think that the next few movies are tedious. On the one hand, it is boring. The second is that the plot is starting to be ridiculous. John is dead in the third part, but his anticipation of what's going on after him is almost like a man, and Kong Ming may not be able to do it in the world. Third, the audience really does not recognize Hoffman's inheritance of the "chainsaw door" mantle. However, both praise and criticism must be admitted that the "Chain Saw" series is definitely an epoch-making work in thriller and horror movies, whether it is the ability to attract gold or the level of blood.
There are 7 titles in total, and they are slow to watch. It may be due to weak psychological endurance. I really can't bear to watch two episodes at a time. I have to relax after watching an episode. Although some can't stand such "heavy taste", in the final analysis, there are indeed some who can't stop it. I really admire the director and screenwriter for grasping the psychology of the audience.
The reason why the "Chain Saw" series is so prosperous that it has a large number of fans around the world, I think it has three advantages, which surpass other horror films in these three aspects.
One: The plot is cleverly conceived.
The 7 collections are slowly interlocking, and each one is connected. You must start from the first to fully understand this series (compared to other series of movies such as "Batman" and "Harry Potter" Even if there is an episode in the middle, it will not affect the understanding of the plot.). A new suspense will be left at the end of each movie (it is said that some people go to the cinema to watch other movies and watch the trailer of the new "Chain Saw") so that the audience has to chase one by one. Look, I can't stop. From the first part of the secret room to the end of the last part of the secret room, the plot concept is not unwieldy.
However, some people think that this is also the shortcoming of this series of movies. The principal culprit died long ago, but the murders continued, which is somewhat absurd and procrastinating. But I think if you can get the thrill of bloody blood, why bother about it. Different people have different opinions.
Two: bloody, violent, barbaric, heavy taste
Can a thriller be considered a thriller without these four elements? The "Chain Saw" series can be said to be a master of horror movies, integrating all horror factors and carrying it forward in an ingenious way. Laparotomy, heart-digging and flying limbs in the film are almost commonplace, and they tend to increase, one by one is bloody. The photographer's shooting technique is commendable. Bloody shots often flash past, making you feel irritated without nausea and vomiting out.
When I watched the "Reaper Is Coming" series before, I was amazed by it. I felt that the plot was quite fresh and bloody and violent. Now, after watching the "Chain Saw" series, I discovered that the "Reaper" series is nothing compared to it.
As the saying goes, people who have watched the "Chain Saw" series will not feel bloody and nauseous when watching any other movies.
Three: Creative
have to admire the creative director and screenwriter, the scene from the beginning to the chamber end of the chamber. The characters start with Dr. Gordon and end with Dr. Gordon. Going around and back, this is a creative idea. In the details, each has a new way of playing, a new way of death, one is more bloody than the other.
Penalty creativity is one of the highlights of this film. The director strives not to repetitively, to be nauseated, to see blood, and to be innovative and creative. Even if you don't watch the plot, it's okay to think of this as another version of "Reaper Is Coming".
I always think that although the plot of the film is fictitious, the director can make up so many ways to die, and he has the potential to become a perverted murderer.

Before watching "Chainsaw", the contradiction I most admired was Hannibal Lecter from the "Silent Lambs" series, and now there is another John Kramer. I'm thinking about who can win if they two PK once, and what kind of bloody storm will be set off if they join hands. Hey,,,, just think about it, it's impossible.

Let me talk about some more controversial issues in the movie
1. What is written on the paper in Part 6, it has been explained in the plot. It was written by Hoffman to Amanda. Hoffman said that he knew that Amanda was one of the murderers who caused Jill's miscarriage and threatened her. If you don't kill Linda, tell John about it. This is all right, but I don’t know if you have paid attention to it. In the third book, John asked Amanda to get the envelope. If it was written by Hoffman, how did John know that there was that envelope? The answer is simple. John asked Hoffman to write it. John knew that Amanda was also one of the murderers, but forgave her and asked Hoffman to write these to test Amanda. There is a dialogue in Part 6 where Hoffman said to John that "Amanda will fail you" just to verify this.
2. Many people think that two of the three pigheads who caught Hoffman at the end of the seventh movie (one of them is Dr. Gordon) are the two men in the glass window at the beginning of the film. I think this is a possibility. Not big, because it is not in line with common sense. From common sense, it can be seen that the people of the "chainsaw door" were taught by John himself after the test, and those two people (the two men in the glass window at the beginning of the film) Obviously he was not accepted by John (John was dead at that time). So it shouldn't be those two people who are artificial. As for who it is, for the time being they are Lu Ran A and passer-by B.
3. Regarding the question of whether there will be a sequel, there have been heated discussions on the Internet recently. I believe chainsaw fans do not want a sequel, because the content is over and everyone who should be killed is killed (you can see from the sixth plot. John’s last goal is Hoffman), and if you take another shot, you will definitely continue to do it. Can you still count on Dr. Gordon, a waste person to inherit the chainsaw door mantle and continue to play the murderous mania. Those who are looking forward to Part 8 are fans of pseudo chainsaws, just looking for another visual experience of blood spurting.
However, it is hard to say whether there will be an 8th part. The director once stated that the 7th part is the end (the 8th part was originally, but it was cancelled, and the 8th and 7th scripts were merged). Maybe the owner of Lionsgate will be short of money and continue to launch a few more movies.
