Carl Allen (Jim Carrey played by Jim Carrey), who has passed away, has no worries about food and clothing, but his life can be described as a complete failure. Divorced his wife three years ago, and always lived a single life. He works in a bank, but he is basically in a state of waiting for death and hopeless promotion. In life, he refuses to associate with others, but prefers to watch movies at home. The whole life seems to be shrouded in thick gray fog. Under the advice of a friend, Carl came to an organization called "Mr. Good" for consultation. Under the guidance of his mentor Terence (Terence Stamp), he tried to solve every problem in life. All answered in the affirmative. This small change turned Carl’s life upside down. Honors, money, opportunities, and love came one after another. Just when he was full of confidence, he realized that life was not as simple as he thought... This
film is adapted from a British comedian, Author Danny Wallace's autobiography of the same name, and won the 2009 MTV Best Comedy Performance Award (Jim Carrey).

Compared with other weirdness of Jim Carrey, this time set the tone on positive and optimistic. The absurd yes contract with a dead house leads to the final thought: that is, yes or no is not a correct solution, sometimes maybe is fine. If you only have yes, it means that when you lose no, you also lose yourself. Say yes to others not because you have to, but because you know in your heart that you want it. But this kind of comedy plot in the style of the last century is still slightly thin and out of reality.
