Some people compare Western films to successful husband films, but I think the violence of the former is very straightforward and the violence of the latter is very beautiful and totally different. If it weren't for Matt Damon and Jeff Bridges, I would hardly choose a western movie, let alone a "period" western movie. Of course, the famous name of the Coen brothers is also the reason I chose. Their perspective has always been a man, but the main protagonist of this "True Grit" is Hailee Steinfeld (Hailee Steinfeld), and the little girl has her. The tenacity that is hard to show at that age. It's a pity that she doesn't look very beautiful, and it's harder to tell how she will be in the future. In her day, a 14-year-old girl could already trade, finance, and law with the old man selling horses. It can be seen that the education of common sense in life should be as early as possible.

The old man Jeff Bridges spoke vaguely English, and only silently showed his wisdom and courage when he was most dangerous. After sending Mattie to the door of the doctor's house, he knelt on the snow and said "I am really old", which looked sad and comforting. Regardless of whether these two sheriffs were for bounty or duty, in the Wild West era, some lives were taken and some lives were saved, which happened every day. Time goes by, the sighs attributed to later generations.

Matt Damon finally let the bullets fly for a while...a rare Western film performed from a female perspective, and the little girl's performance is also very wonderful. Unlike the previous films of the Coen brothers, the story is not rushed or slow with a melodious soundtrack, but it always feels like it lacks a touch of depth. I like the vast western grassland very much, and I like the starry night at the end of the film even more. ★★★★

The films of the Coen brothers always remind me of two devout believers, about faith and about movies. Especially for the restoration of a particular era, Western films are especially true. The shots are always beautiful and depressing, accompanied by beautiful soundtracks, empty shots and big perspectives, and more importantly, there is a stimulating story of playing with IQ. The climax of the [Tear of the Earth] is almost unexpected. Blur the point of the protagonist's supporting role. ★★★★

  • Mattie Ross: Well I need a pony, and I'll pay you ten dollars for one of them.

Col. Stonehill: No, that's a lot price, no no... wait a minute... are we trading again?
