The "North by Northwest" that I finished watching today is the first Hitchcock movie I watched. A humorous and charming advertiser was involved in a confusing spy case. A beautiful and intelligent man was encountered on a desperate train. The blonde girl, in the process of fleeing constantly, finally understood the origin of her situation, and finally defeated the evil Vatican and embraced the beauty.
I have to say that I was a little disappointed. Although it has been more than 40 years since the filming of this film, it is still far from the original expectations.
I think Hitchcock is a master of suspense, but the film is almost out of bounds with suspense. After the United Nations murder, the FBI at the meeting explained the mystery. Kaplan does not exist, and the advertiser Sancher is just them. A bait that can be sacrificed.
So the next plot is very simple. It's nothing more than how good people defeat bad people, how talents and beautiful women can be together. There is no doubt that this is a movie that is closer to popular culture. In 1959, it must be very good. Sell out.
But today, in the 21st century, it looks different, because many of the stories in the movie are too far-fetched. For example, in the Capitol Hill murder case, Sancher was so stupid to touch the knife, and then ran away. The police who accompanied him to Townsend Manor to collect evidence can testify for him, because Mrs. Townsend is a loophole that everyone can prove.
There are also trains. How did Vandan's group catch up with Sancher on the same train so coincidentally?
And Fandan, what kind of bad guy is this person, spy? Smuggler? The underworld?
At the end of the cliff, Sancher's hand that climbed the cliff was stepped on for so long, and he could actually pull up a living person weighing hundreds of catties, which is too awesome.
The story of the whole movie is too far-fetched.
But the flaws are not concealed. The mode and fragments of this movie have become classics in film history. I remember seeing a movie "The Enemy of the People" played by Will Smith before. It is also the same model. An ordinary lawyer was involved in a Major cases of national security.
If I had the opportunity to write the script, I would definitely copy this movie, the thrilling murder on the seaside cliff, and finally reached out and pulled the camera to switch to the train carriage, the auction house, the conversation between the two in the dining car, etc. These are all classic details. what.
PS: The Mandarin dubbed version I saw at the beginning, although the dubbing is very good, but I still can't understand it. After watching a short paragraph, I found the Chinese and English subtitles and watched it all the way.
Thanks to the HD MKV version, it looks no different from the new movie.
