Not very suitable for prequel series

I originally thought that if "Monsters Electric Company" were to shoot a sequel, they would definitely film the following story, because at the end of the last episode, the monsters had already "returned to evil" and returned to the right way of selling cute and behaved, transitioning from "screaming and screaming". It's "shocked laugh". If the sequel to be filmed is the prequel to "Weird Electricity", and the protagonists and monsters are still advancing courageously on the road of "terrorizing" human children, is it true that the three views are not correct and not harmonious enough for the human audience? Or is it just that my own thoughts are too the main theme or the relevant departments?
Pixar's technology is not problematic, and the script is pretty stable and there are no major flaws. But if an industry leader like Pixar does not innovate and just maintains the standard, then there should be nothing technically worth boasting about. Therefore, if a sequel like this film wants to succeed, one is to rely on the popularity of the previous work, and the other is to rely on the story of this episode. And the second point is more important. To be honest, Pixar has produced excellent series of animations, such as the "Toy Story" series. Therefore, I have high expectations for the sequel of this popular work. Unfortunately, this film did not surprise me much, and I don’t know if it’s because the higher the expectations, the greater the disappointment, or because the story itself is not that attractive.
To be honest, the story of this film lacks the kind of transition that can make people's mood ups and downs. Several transitions in the film's story appear to be very smooth, or it is not unexpected, and the reason why this happens is because The plot of this film is somewhat old-fashioned and lacks novelty.
When watching a movie, I have been thinking about what category the movie should belong to. Apart from the type of cartoon and the shell of monsters, this movie should be considered a youth movie, inspirational movie, and comedy movie! As a youth film, there are too many movies of this kind of campus theme. In addition to nostalgia and freshness, it only relies on increasingly heavier tastes to attract the audience. There is almost no nostalgia in this film, not to mention the freshness. As for the heavy taste, it is really hard to find a trace, so the film can only be regarded as mediocre in the campus scene. And what about passionate inspirational films? There are too many successful works, almost all the routines have been exhausted, and even the turns of the story are quite the same. It is difficult to make a fuss on this, and it is a blessing from time to time.
In the end, there are only comedies left. Fortunately, this film is still on hold. Although it can't make you laugh all the way to the end, it is at least not dull. Although the methods of funny are basically only selling cute and playing treasures, and it is also Basically, it just relies on all kinds of strange monster shapes to make jokes. I don't know if this is a deduction or nothing more?
As far as this film is concerned, there is almost nothing new. It can also be said that the new ideas of this series have been basically used up in the first part. There is no breakthrough in creativity in this film, so it seems that this series does not seem to be suitable. The prequel.
