I haven't read the original novels in both series, so I'm not qualified to comment too much on the original. But from the standpoint of a movie watcher, Percy Jackson failed to deal with the conditions that would have enhanced the movie's quality, the way the movie was filmed, the skill in adapting the novel, the display of story tension, and the modification of details. On the contrary, Harry Potter is perfect at every point.
It may be a little unfair to compare these two series of movies, (but they were also made by the same director) Harry Potter is a collection of thousands of favorites, depending on many internal and external conditions, the supply of software and hardware resources , team strength, purpose and orientation, etc. Perhaps these are the conditions that set it apart from Percy Jackson.
Just as a lover of Harry Potter series, The Chronicles of Narnia series and other movies, it is really a pity to see the ratings of Percy Jackson series.
