I appreciate Uncle M's acting skills very much. As far as the accent is concerned, it will not hinder my understanding of the TV series at all (there is no problem with listening and translating). What's more, having a little exotic accent brings a bit of mystery to the character, and even distinguishes Hannibal from the other characters in the play from the accent. Personally, I think the American accent is more casual and sloppy, and the emotions are full and leaked, while the British accent is more self-sufficient and depressed (you can tell by saying the two sounds of water), and obviously Hannibal does not belong to these two types. This character also brings a strong uncle M's personal style. No matter how many versions of Hannibal there will be in the future, this one is nothing but special.
It's like people often say that the Japanese have a strange English accent, but how many people know that because they use katakana to make phonetic sounds?
