Spielberg's films still show an emphasis on humanities and history, and the film's narrative structure is rigorous and the focus is clearly visible. It's just that the large dialogue makes the pace a bit slow and dull.
Except for this movie starring Daniel Day Lewis, I have only seen "Love in Prague" and "A room wit a view". I always feel that he is the kind of master with a strong literary atmosphere and a little neurotic. But this movie gave me a glimpse of his skill, and his ability to quietly focus his attention on him no matter how chaotic the situation, his thin voice, but his unquestionable aura.
Four-star recommendation! (Because it's a bit dull, so minus one star)
