#leading to fairyland# 7 points, Malik's leading to fairyland and Japan's excellent erotic films are the two poles of the entanglement of male and female eroticism, and they reach the same goal through different paths. When you really think about and understand human lust and emotion, you may find the key to interpreting Malik's two most recent films. Ebert's matter-of-fact style of film criticism may be suitable for 99% of movies, but it is somewhat powerless in the face of the journey to Wonderland. [The score range of this film is 6-8 points] The
other two poles in #towonderland# are the priest played by Javier Bardem, and the killer role in # Laoyouwu# can be regarded as the most extreme character played by Bardem so far. The two most iconic characters. It also shows that the psychological endurance of the actor Baden is not generally strong. . . .

À la merveille, Le Mont Saint-Michel.

Malik's sixth book, exploring mortal and divine love. 1. If it is said that Malick’s previous works have narratives (the strongest narrative is [New World], followed by [Heaven’s Day] [Bad Earth]), this film can be said to have completely gone into no plot and stream of consciousness. 2. The shattered editing is excellent, completely following the flow of emotion and perception, a well-deserved American poetry film. 3. Still shot by Lubezki, almost all of the shots are wide-angle sports shots taken by hand (with stabilizer), which follow the characters' minds and flow. 4. Lots of backlit shots (the sun seems to be everywhere, it’s always nice weather), empty shots, and progressive shots. 5. It is very interesting that most of the film is the subjective point of view of the character played by Ben Affleck, but the poetic and murmured monologue/narration is always read by two women and a priest. The split (observation and narrative) is intriguing, and the male protagonist is also a purely passive existence. 6. So free and tangled, Mont Saint Michel +1 at the beginning and end. 7. That light in the depths of the soul, it is easier to touch than natural light | Christ is in my heart. (8.0/10)

To the Wonder quotes

  • Father Quintana: We wish to live inside the safety of the laws. We fear to choose. Jesus insists on choice. The one thing he condemns utterly is avoiding the choice. To choose is to commit yourself. And to commit yourself is to run the risk, is to run the risk of failure, the risk of sin, the risk of betrayal. But Jesus can deal with all of those. Forgiveness he never denies us. The man who makes a mistake can repent. But the man who hesitates, who does nothing, who buries his talent in the earth, with him he can do nothing.

  • Neil: My sweet love. At last. My hope. How I loved you...
