Non-professional original drama party report

I read the original work more than ten years ago, and the only impression is that Hugo is so long-winded that he used a few pages to describe the structure of the city of Paris.
The original drama has only seen two commemorative editions of the 10th and 25th anniversary, the main one is the 10th anniversary edition, and the earliest and most basic impression comes from it.

Movie impressions:
1. The choruses are all good.
2. Javert appeared in the first act. He looked a little bit happy and sang too much! difficult! hear! Up! I instantly understood the contempt of many people when the movie version of "The Phantom of the Opera" first came out, but I was the first movie I watched, but I thought it was good.
Jean Valjean was pretty good in every way, except that sometimes his inner monologue was not emotional.
3. The priest looks a bit evil, and he always feels bad intentions by looking at that face.
4. Anne Hathaway is so thin. Fantine in my impression wears a light-colored coarse cloth dress from beginning to end, with long hair and a plump body. The hotel owner and his wife in the original drama are big fat people, and in the movie they are also very thin. In fact, according to the actual situation at the time, these people should not be too fat, probably because opera and musical actors must have that body to have that kind of voice. For example, Sarah Brightman, who was born as a ballerina, has grown up like that after she changed into a musical...
(Seeing here, the original party next to it added that Fantine in the original book is like that in the movie.)
5. The movie basically looks like this. The original play was moved off the stage. The biggest change was that an inner monologue was added on the day that Jean Valjean adopted Cosette, to the effect that things happened like this all of a sudden, and I want to raise her. She trusts me so much, and I am so touched. .
(The original author said that she felt this way when she took that tuft of kittens home from the pet shop a few years ago!)
6. Then the younger generation has grown up. Looking at the two young men standing tall on the street shouting slogans, I hope that the handsome one is Marius, but unfortunately the one next to him is a bit ugly and freckled. I have been unable to look directly at the freckles on that face until the wedding.
Adult Cosette was still a beauty. The 25th anniversary version is too...but Cosette is indeed a vase in this play, and there is a little sense of existence in the imagining of heaven in the cloud when he was young, and I often can't even remember her name.
7. After regretting the appearance of Marius, the camera scanned passers-by in the audience, and a familiar face appeared, which seemed to be the Eponine in the 25th anniversary edition? Finally a professional musical actor appeared! ! ! The disappointment caused by Marius disappeared.
Sure enough, Samantha Barks. Her appearance is in line with my expectations of Eponine, but Lea Salonga is slightly better.
In the movie, lying in Marius's arms before dying, it would be better if the breath was weaker.
In the original drama, Eponine made her first appearance when she was an adult. From the beginning, it was how Marius was, so her origin did not harm her image at all. When the movie described her wretched father and mother, she showed her a few times when she was young.
What can we do with such parents who were born and raised in such a place?

In summary, the difference between this movie and the original drama is basically the difference between the two forms of movie and stage play. The stage requires a good voice and full of emotion, because it is basically a monologue or dialogue, and the background is all expressed by simple symbols (in terms of background, these musicals are already much more specific than Chinese opera). The movie doesn't pay much attention to singing, but it needs to restore all the scenes to explain the complete story.
The part that can be supplemented by the action of the scene, the movie is well done, such as Master of the House, the boss couple sing well by themselves. In the part of inner monologue, sometimes because it is closer to the real scene, the change of intonation and atmosphere has changed too much charm, such as Fantine's recollection of youth and love affair. Some can only say that the actors do not have the level of singing.
The movie scene made me understand why Hugo introduced the city of Paris in such a verbose way.
---------------
Compared the original drama and the movie, and by the way, I would like to mention the possible differences between the movie released in mainland China and the original version.
The first is deletion. After Marius and the others failed, the paragraph where a few women washed the blood on the floor actually only left five or six sentences. It sounds obviously not a complete song, and there are obvious faults caused by cutting. Then It was Marius feeling sentimental to the empty table and chair. I think that the probability that the movie is like this is approaching zero.
After posting the full version of the lyrics, all I heard tonight is the first section below. Let's take a look at the later, what do you think of the bureau that will merge into a super-long department recently.
Turning

Women:
Did you see them going off to fight?
Children of the barricade
Who didn't last the night?
Did you see them lying where they died?
Someone used to cradle them
and kiss them when they cried.
Did you see them lying side by side?

Who will wake them?
No one ever will.
No one ever told them that a summer day can kill.
They were schoolboys never held a gun
Fighting for a new world that would rise up like the sun.
Where's that new world now the fighting's done?

Nothing changes
Nothing ever will.
Every year another brat, another mouth to fill.
Same old story. What's the use of tears?
What's the use of praying if there's nobody who hears?

All Women:
Turning , turning, turning, turning, turning
Through the years.
Turning, turning, turning through the years
Minutes into hours and the hours into years.
Nothing changes. Nothing ever can.
Round and round the round about and back where you began.
Round and round and back where you began!

By the way, the quality of the Chinese subtitles of this movie is low, the sentences are crude, and sometimes the meaning is biased.
For example, the first sentence of Eponine's deathbed confession is "Don't you fret, M'sieur Marius". It was so affectionate to advise him not to worry about himself (the next sentence is "I don't hurt, I'll be fine if you are here") . The subtitles questioned: "Matthews, aren't you worried?" I

didn't expect to see so many people. I went one and a half hours in advance and only the corners were left. Originally I thought that many people would leave in the middle so that we could sit in front. As a result, only two walked until about 3/5...Later, no more than 5 walked away. At the end of the show, two girls were actually crying. One of them said to her companion, "I think it's shameful to be out of the cinema"...
