A Musical with a Soul: Comment on "Les Miserables"

I didn't expect such a sentimental movie to be made into a song and dance movie.

The opening is not amazing, and the song is not very pleasant. If it weren't for this story, I really liked it, I would have given up early. In the middle and back, there are memorable songs one after another.

This kind of film has the highest demands on actors: it must act well, and it must sing well. Russel Crowe's lack of singing voice, acting Javert is really losing points. Hugh Jackman played disappointingly except for a few paragraphs. The two main characters in the play are not really successful enough.

As some senior "sorrowful" fans pointed out, Cosette's personality is vague and the space given here is not enough. On the contrary, it was Éponine (Samantha Barks), which impressed me the most. The song On My Own was heartbreaking.

In this play, actresses are generally better than male actors, and children (childhood Cosette, revolutionary boy Gavroche) are more impressive than adults. Most choruses are brilliant.

I have been seeing the ending credits all finished. There is Sacha Baron Cohen? After thinking for a long time, I realized that it was the hotel owner. I really can't recognize it with makeup.

In short, if Musical is your dish, this film is worth watching.

The movie was watched on February 24, 2013, the eve of the Oscars. At the awards ceremony, everyone performed the skewers of the songs in this film, which is really exciting!

Bishop: But my friend, you left so early; surely something slipped your mind. You forgot I gave these, also. Would you leave the best behind?
