male growth

There are so many points of entry to comment on a film, and I wanted to focus on how the main character, Victor, grew from a boy to a man.
The protagonist Victor's mother is a prostitute and his father's identity is unknown. In other words, he lacked the education and love of his father since he was a child, and thus lacked the strength of men.

The story begins with his falling in love with the heroine Elena, and unfolds the tragic entanglement of several men and women, as well as his growth path. Saying he fell in love with Elena might just be a falsehood, a falsehood of infatuation. Because it was his first sexual experience, he was very obsessed with Elena, and one could imagine that Elena was merciful to him in the process, because they even made an appointment for the next meeting. However, when he appeared in front of Elena, she didn't buy it. Because he wasn't having sex at all that time, it was almost masturbation. When Elena pointed this out cruelly, his heart was disturbed. Because of embarrassment and fear, Elena was kidnapped from behind.

Then there was a disorganized shooting accident that landed him wrongfully in jail. In prison, his mother's love and lust for revenge support his learning of skills and the Bible. He served six years in prison, and his youth was stolen. On the surface, he was extremely wronged. But it was such a prison experience that trained his physique and will, and the Bible cultivated his spiritual tenacity and compassion. He has grown both physically and mentally. In this sense, he was not wronged, but instead gained greater "father love". Because the prison is the representative of the state apparatus, a symbol of order and discipline, and a masculine force. And the Bible is the merciful love of the Father, which makes up for the cold, disciplined love of the state apparatus. From this, we can also see that a complete father's love should be both principled and compassionate.

After being released from prison, he still had plans for revenge at first. His plan of revenge was not against Sancho who put him in prison, but against Elena who sexually mocked him with words. There's an interesting paradox here, precisely because of Elena's sexual assault on him, it is this anger that makes him want revenge on Elena. It is this desire for revenge that makes him orderly and powerful towards sex. He asked about Clara's feelings, not shy about his inexperience. It was because of his frankness that Clara also gave great tolerance to teach him. He doesn't seem to love Clara, but Clara's love melts the ice of his revenge - he confesses his revenge plan to Elena, which shows that he has let go of all this hatred. Since then, he has grown into a mature man. It also won Elena's heart. It seems that Elena had sex with him in order to make him give up, but she was really moved by his "heroic" temperament. A hero has the power to surrender and the love of compassion.

At the end of the movie, everyone paid the price for their sins, all the tragedies are drawn by the power of love, and all the turbulence finally returned to peace. As a mature man, he truly fell in love and married a mature woman, Elena. This is true harmony, true love without hurt and without pain.

For a man to grow into a man, he needs the disciplined love and strong spiritual guidance of his father, which is symbolized by the prison and the Bible; and the dedication and tolerance of his mother, which is the dedication and carat of his biological mother to him. Pull for his tolerance and teachings. Such a man is the real hero.
