Los Angeles in the 1940s was still a family of cops and gangsters. Everyone knew that micky was a badass but no one dared to come forward. This casts doubt on the conclusion that a single witness will bring him to justice. I feel that the former war hero played by Brolin is too simple-minded, and he has no preparation for reconnaissance before attacking. He is not like a master who can survive after a hundred battles, but his wife is really awesome. Sean Penn's black boss always has an expression on his face, he just pretends to be ruthless. Although the acting is flawed, the scene is still very hot.
