After riding a bicycle for more than half an hour to the movie theater in Onohara, I bought the second-to-last ticket for the afternoon show. Sitting in the large theater with more than 300 people, listening to the look down sounded, I watched the musical and watched the trailer. The passionate emotions rekindled all at once!
This year's viewing quality is obviously higher than last year's overall. Obviously lesmiz will not be the best overall film, but subjectively it is my favorite one. While all kinds of stylized films continue to enrich my knowledge of film content, lesmiz unexpectedly gave me the biggest shock this year. This kind of moving does not belong to the movie, but comes from music and literature. The tragic epic created by Hugo has reappeared on the screen over a hundred years, because the pure and dazzling humanistic light really gave all the audience a grand spiritual baptism. In the contemporary era where individualism has become a common mass, lesmiz's values with a heavy and classical atmosphere appear moving and precious.
More than two hours of the movie quickly and completely spread the entire huge story and retain most of the essence of the aria. On the basis of the musical, it continued to make modifications suitable for the screen performance, including the later represented by Gavroche's death. A series of fine-tuning of the plot, in order to make the visual effect more dramatic, this adaptation is still very successful, avoiding the original musical drama on the big screen and the story is too simple and lacking convincing. The very difficult part is to make reasonable scheduling when the protagonist sings lyrics. It neither weakens the appeal of the passage nor wastes time narrating the plot. Tom Hooper has shown excellent skills in this regard, and basically has to stop (such as Stop where I dream a dream, and move when it’s time to move (master of the house)
The casting of the movie version basically guarantees the basis for its successful performance. The most satisfying ones are Uncle Hugh from Jean and Anne from Fantine. The two are basically excellent from start to finish. Uncle Hugh's performance in the pre-redemption stage is impeccable. Compared with the magnificent singing of the musical, the heavier singing voice will quickly bring the audience into the best situation with the emotional performance at this stage, and take it with confidence. Nominated to the actor. anne released all the light in her short appearance in the early stage. She performed well in singing and acting. Her Oscar moment "Idream a dream" was the first strong tear point in the whole film.
All the passages that satisfied me most were anne's "fantine's death". The duet with Uncle Hugh and the romanticization of the director was the first place that defeated me. "One more day" is one of my favorite passages in musicals. As an over-singing that symbolizes that the plot has entered the final battle stage, the film uses intricate plot editing to naturally stitch the cantata sings, and successfully combines them with the energetic melody. The plot is pushed to a small climax. It is also worth mentioning that this version of Marious's solo "empty chiars and empty table" is unexpectedly stunning. EDDY's appearance is pleasing and solid in singing, which can be regarded as a surprise for the cast.
Of course, as a fan of lesmiz musicals, there is still a certain gap between movies and musicals. The most not to be ignored is the singing of non-professional actors, including the original tragedy and generous "bring him home" Uncle Hugh. Can't help but sing so dying, it really makes people have a little bit of jump. . In my opinion, the effect of abandoning the pre-recording in the studio and adopting the innovative Live recording shooting method is questionable.
Tom Hooper’s failure to be selected as the best director of this year’s Oscar is reasonable in my opinion. Compared with the previous year’s "The King’s Speech", obviously he has always been known for historical themes. He is not necessarily good at making lesmiz, although it is commendable. There are many points, but the weaknesses are still obvious. In order to tell the complete story objectively, 150 minutes is obviously less. The director used a lot of close-ups and neat editing to ensure the efficiency of the narration, but this is obviously a challenge for audiences who are accustomed to the narrative rhythm of musicals. Tom obviously failed to invent his own unique shooting techniques for non-historical themes, and made extensive use of prominent long-term close-ups and conservative depth of field, which weakened the emotional appeal of the plot, and also made some of the episodes seem too static like a MV , On such a romantic theme, if Tom can be a little more clever and Joe White might have a completely different effect. Crowe and Samantha have the most stable singing and acting skills on the cast. Especially the tragic Eponine is too thin in the movie, and "on my own", which should have a tear-jerking effect, didn't even touch me.
Even so, lesmiz still left a strong mark in this year's movie-watching experience. The reason is simple. It does what an excellent movie can do to give the audience rich insights and positive energy. Until now, the original sound of lesmiz has been looping endlessly in my player, and every lyrics is like a long-awaited gift that I cherish. I can’t imagine why such a novel story can have so much power. In a world of extreme confrontation between good and evil, the tiresome theme of love, dedication, and freedom can reach people’s hearts without being jerky under the accompaniment of music. . I shed tears for lesmiz and found out that those who thought that the naive love and belief grew up and waited for the water that was too late to be poured out in the forgotten corners.
In the last scene, the aging jean finally confessed his life before he died. With the help of fantine and eponine phantoms, he was finally redeemed. Looking at the holy light of God cast by the sky, the three give their lives for the people they love deeply. The protagonist sang lesmiz’s last motto "To love another person is to see the face of God"
To love another person is to see the face of God, and hearing these words still makes me excited. Loving others is a manifestation of the existence of God. Such a world is simple but cannot be better.
The free world in the ending dream is romanticized by the director as designed in a musical. All the dead souls can stand on the tower and sing "do you hear the people sing" waving the flag of France, no one at that moment Without awe for these selfless beliefs, no one does not shout long live for the great France.
PS The first time I entered the theater, I discovered that the people of the island country have excellent movie watching habits. After the end, satisfied audiences will respond with sincere applause. Most people will sit quietly in their seats and watch all the staff members. Will light up and appear in an orderly manner. . . anyway. It is hoped that this film can be successfully introduced and let the people feel the baptism of classical spirit on the big screen and stereo sound. If I can, I'd like to see it again.
