The police are the 'thin blue line' that separates a democratic society from totalitarianism

"The End of Vigilance" almost uses the perspective of a documentary to truly show the life and death work stories of two ordinary American police officers. Different from traditional police and gangster films, it gives people the feeling that the film lacks a lot of commercial film flavor. After watching it, I was deeply touched, not only because of the iron-blooded friendship between the two patrolmen in the film, but there is no difference between the police and the criminals to some extent. The former is maintaining a system, while the latter is destroying a system. The former can be called a hero after he dies in the line of duty, while the latter tragically died on the street but is only cast aside by the world, "You violated the law, the law was not made by me, I may not agree with it, but it must be strictly enforced." This is one of the meaningful passages in the title, and it is also the life of a policeman.

In the form of a pseudo-documentary, but the plot and scene arrangement are very compact and exciting, and the performances of all the characters are wonderful, and the dialogues are all TM highlights. The feeling brought by the feeling is not worse than the action movie with huge investment

End of Watch quotes

  • Janet: [talking to Brian's camera] Brian, it's you! Hi. I'm gonna try not to wake you up. I can't believe that I stayed over.

    [pulls gun from holster]

Janet: This, this is interesting. I have never shot one before. Maybe that could be our next date. I did go through your wallet. I'm sorry. I am naturally curious. I hope that's okay. Gotta love a guy who has a picture of his mom in his wallet.

    [pulls out sheet of paper]

Janet: This? Yeah. Kristin, Mia, Raquel, etc. Um, you won't be needing this anymore.

    [kisses camera lens]

  • Mike Zavala: What are we looking for, again?

Brian Taylor: All the food groups, man. Dope, money, and guns.
