Pearl Harbor

A shocking movie can always bring people deep thoughts. Before that, I always felt that compared to books, movies didn't bring much thinking to people. After watching the movie "Pearl Harbor", I realized that this argument is too one-sided. The visual impact of movies on the human body is undoubtedly more intuitive and shocking than books. The memories that remain in people's minds will also be more profound. A narrative and a video, after watching it, many years later, it is likely that the video will stay in your mind.
The movie tells the story of the Second World War. The theme of the story, in my opinion, there are three. It goes without saying that patriotism and love, but friendship is often ignored by most people.
There are many scenes that shocked me, so let's talk about one. When the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. The whole movie is densely packed, and it is full of Japanese fighter planes. Then a torpedo was launched, dived into the bottom, approached the American aircraft carrier at an unparalleled speed, and exploded. My nerves were tense suddenly, and the whole person was as if I was on the scene, and my heart was beating. Bombing waves after wave, and in an instant, corpses were everywhere, and people were like lambs to be slaughtered, full of helplessness, hesitation, and fear. The buildings were even more like paper, and one after another was destroyed effortlessly.
The disaster brought to mankind by war is as horrible! After watching this scene, I felt a sense of collapse and powerlessness.

Pearl Harbor quotes

  • Rafe: Earl, I said get some guns in that goddamn tower

Earl: Right, guns in the tower, ten stories high. It's a long son-of-a-bitch

  • Admiral Chester W. Nimitz: So, sir, you would have us mobilize the entire fleet, at the cost of millions of dollars, based on this 'spine-tingling' feeling of yours?

Captain Thurman: No, sir. I understand my job is to gather and interpret material. Making difficult decisions based on incomplete information from my limited decoding ability is your job, sir.
