not great

I was so excited when I forgot where I saw the promotion, I don't know why I felt a little ordinary after watching it.

Prohibition is the background, but there is no particularly strong feeling of fighting, perseverance, legend or something.

The third brother is the main line, but I feel that the third brother's personal charm is not capable of holding up the whole movie.

The eldest brother is very handsome and stylish, but he has the urge of 'other people's ginseng winner'. Basically a perfect existence, and an immortal body as a plug-in. There are too few supporting roles, but it is estimated that the main line may not be very good-looking.

The second brother has a kind of silly cuteness in it, howling is really good.

Uncle Gary is so handsome! But it's not more than ten words, isn't it a fool!

The heroine is the cute housewife Celia in The Help, so beautiful!

The other girl is also nice.

Overall, it's possible that I didn't quite understand it.

Great song when Big Brother fell in a pool of blood in the middle of the movie:
So You'll Aim Towards The Sky
by The Bootleggers feat. Emmylou Harris.

Lawless quotes

  • [last lines]

Jack Bondurant: Nowadays we Bondurants abide by the law. People ain't tryin' to cut our throats, stab us, or shoot us no more. Them days are long gone. Sometimes when I'm out on the porch just sittin' around doin' nothin', hell, it sure does get real quite around here.

  • Forrest Bondurant: What I'm trying to say is, the course of your life it is changing. You don't even see it.

Mugger #2: What are you talkin' bout?

[Forrest punches him with iron knuckles, knocking mugger unconscious]

Howard Bondurant: Yeah, that's what he's talking' bout.

Howard Bondurant: [Looking at a shocked Jack Bondurant] You alright there, Jack?

Jack Bondurant: Caught me off guard is all.

Howard Bondurant: You still good to drive?

    [Forrest laughs]

    Jack Bondurant: Fuck you, Howard.
