Just finished watching yet another Tim Burton dark fairy tale, which of course only turns into a comedy and a blockbuster when you meet Depp.
When it comes to why I use dog blood, it is because I Baidu Baidu Dark Shadows, it turned out to be a very famous series before. Just as Huanzhugege or the four famous novels have an unshakable place in our hearts, all producers and screenwriters know that it is unwise to shake the image of the audience casually, if not fully prepared.
Of course, Tim Burton is no ordinary person, and neither is Depp. Why do you say dog blood, because what you can't deny is that vampires, werewolves, and witches, to be honest, have been completely used up. Just like the Jiangnan style on the street, the most dazzling ethnic style, please, once or twice said that it is fresh, and if there is more, it will be really disgusting.
However, maybe because I haven't watched the TV series (most young people probably haven't seen it either), I look at it with an extremely objective attitude. (Actually, you're here for Depp...)
First of all, the tone of the whole play is very old school. Both the tone and the music are very in line with the trend of the 1970s, so the children who are expecting to see very trendy vampires are probably going to be disappointed. Because our Mr. Vampire is not Edward in the twilight shining in the sun, not the omnipotent superman who can walk in the sun in The Vampire Diaries and is afraid of almost nothing, but the one we all know, afraid of silver, afraid of light, Pale pale, sleeping in a coffin and a "first-generation" vampire with bat qualities.
Sounds old.. but that's what it's trying to present to us. Just like you broke into an old bookstore, the old shop owner is reading an interesting book, you are curious about its ancient times, so the shop owner tells you the magical and wonderful stories belonging to his era..
voila! A period of retro magic begins....
In this era when retro has become a trend, who says we can't revisit the past fairy tales?
