Good-looking, but the plot owes

As a fairly pure commercial film, it is indeed very good-looking. Angelina Jolie proved that she was worthy of the title of "the number one sexy hit girl in the sky" for N times. Of course, director Phillip Noyce's meticulous design of action scenes is indispensable here. Especially shortly after the beginning of the film, Angelina Jolie desperately escaped the 30-minute scene from the FBI. It was so nervous and exciting that people almost forgot to breathe!
But in sharp contrast to the splendid and gorgeous action drama is the plot part of the film, or more accurately, it has no plot at all!
Bonn is fighting! He fights for survival and dignity! 007 is fighting! He fights for the Queen of England! What about Salt? Unfortunately, I really don't know. Why does she fight? What she did made people feel extremely confusing. When the bearded Russian spy who started training her decades ago successfully connected with her in the FBI interrogation room, she was resolute and desperate. Like a robot with blood, they are enemies of the United States and Russia in the "war"! Until the end of the film!
To be honest, I have seen a plot of ghost talk before, and I have never seen a plot more than this!

Although movies do not necessarily require strong logic, can they be without logic?

The CIA female agent was accused by the Russian agent as a double-faced female spy, and she had to prevent the other party from assassinating the vice president to show her innocence. "Agent Short" has the traditional action film mode, wrapped in the coat of political thriller and popular action elements, known as the female version of Bonn. The Cold War background action movie now seems to be purely entertainment, and the suspense is created by the extreme plot, but to be honest, this one is much better than the Smiths or something.

Salt quotes

  • Ted Winter: Any chance she could follow?

President's Secret Service Agent: My own men couldn't get through that door once it's closed.

Ted Winter: Yeah, well, unfortunately, she isn't one of your men.

  • Ted Winter: At least I was right. I had a feeling we'd lost you back there in North Korea. I could see how moved you were by Mike's little white-knight routine. You were supposed to recruit him, Ev, not fall in love with him. That's why I told Orlov to pick him up. By the way, how is Mike?

    Evelyn Salt: Orlov is dead.

Ted Winter: Well, that's good news. Saved me the trouble. I had to practically twist his arm to get him blow your cover at the CIA. You see, he wanted you to come out of this alive.

Evelyn Salt: But you needed somebody to take the blame. I'm the patsy.

Ted Winter: And I'm the hero. Congratulations, Ev. You're about to become famous.
