In terms of the main story, 4 has no breakthrough compared with the previous work. In 2, the mammoth met a lover, in 3, there was a new generation, in 4, it was the saber-toothed tiger's turn to have an affair. Will it be the sloth's turn in 5? There are neurotic dragon slayers in 3, and old sloths in 4 who are hidden, and they rely on them to turn the tide at critical moments. The main characters have nothing to dig out, so adding new characters who have dramas is a tried-and-true trick.
But speaking of it, although the main story has not broken through, at least it has not lost its standard. The most important reason why 4 is not as good as 3 is that the squirrel line is too weak and has become tasteless. 3 The squirrel line almost grabbed the limelight of the main line, pushing the squirrel's love for pine cones to the extreme. For the beloved pine cones, it went to heaven and earth, and even gave up love. Maybe it was used too hard, and it was a bit overdraft. At 4, the squirrel was too tired and had fewer scenes. The few scenes that were left were basically repeating old tunes, and there were not many laughs.
Many people like the Ice Age series because of that persistent and unlucky squirrel. How far would mammoths, saber-toothed tigers and sloths go without squirrels?
