say one by one

I watched it first in a movie theater, the dubbing sucks, and the plot was cut. So I had to go home and watch the original.
Most people love the killing scene at the beginning of the film, and I am no exception. But my liking extends to the description of his life later (before the second mission).
good. I say it as a person.
An Arthur
he was a killer with a nice trade name "Mechanic". This is a pun, referring to his professional title and his own personality. Turn the gears, never fail, and perform tasks like a machine, without blinking or looking back.
In fact, he himself is a machine in his life. Always listening to Schubert, always going to the same bar, always going to the same prostitute, always being alone ••••••
When he took the order to kill Harry, his mentor, he hesitated. Does he respect him, love him? may be. But maybe not. Harry was the only person in his life he'd ever had a real touch with, he'd trained him and led him on his way. Just think, if you touch the same person every day, even if you don't love him, you are used to him. Besides, Harry was more interested in him than his son, and Arthur was grateful even if he didn't. But Business is just Business.
Later, out of guilt, he took Harry's son Steven as his apprentice. It's a pity that the naughty son always thinks of revenge. Arthur is not stupid, he knows that Steven is going to kill him, even if he himself has the feeling of going all over the world with him, he can't ignore the conspiracy of the other party; besides, Steven is a frizzy boy who always messes up the task, Arthur will not tolerate it Too long~ He is a machine, what he wants is precision, not the sequelae of rebellious adolescence. Therefore, he had already set a trap, just to see if Steven could get in; if he didn't get in, the two would continue to work together, and if he did, one of them would have to stray. That person could only be Arthur, and it had to be Arthur.
Arthur's hobbies aren't very broad. Listening to music, fixing cars, going to bars, going to prostitutes (only occasionally). He has no feelings for the prostitute. It is purely a night stand, and the occasional smile is also the ambiguity before the male meets the female.
A lot of people say Arthur is too cruel. These are the mistakes everyone makes when they fall in love with Leon. Not all killers drink milk, raise orchids, sleep on sofas, love children, and love piglets. Most killers are fast and furious shady people, and even Matilda doesn't necessarily turn into Leon.
Leon kills you gently in a dream, Arthur makes blood splatter in reality.
2. Steven
Steven's life without Arthur would be an ordinary tragedy: both his parents died, his life was hopeless, he lived by luck, became a street ruffian, lived on social security, and finally died. His life is only worth watching when he's with Arthur: being a hitman, being born to death, enjoying the fast and furious, being able to take both men and women from time to time, venting physical and psychological anger. Although the result is still death (I don't know whether it is better to starve or blow up), at least there is a different process. Steven, if there is no Arthur, you are nothing. Perhaps his only personal time was with that tough guy who loved Chihuahuas and little boys. It was his one-man show, not listening to Arthur, but doing what he wanted. Other times, he's been spinning around in Arthur's circles, burning in his own anger.
"Why don't he stay with that gay man?" I said to my cousin after reading it.
"He's a pervert. Seduces little boys, purely for sex," the cousin said calmly.
I don't say a word. There are many old men molesting young boys abroad, and this is similar.
"He doesn't want to live a good life," said the cousin again.
Master is a machine, he is young and reckless. This may be the sad
reincarnation of a homeless child.
three or two prostitutes
The two prostitutes are purely cameo. Both are veterans, seduce and tease. The first actress is a model for a lingerie brand, and the second is a Hollywood violent girl, a conscientious vase on the Hollywood screen. Their role is to satisfy men and satisfy themselves. I hate such women. But this is a tough guy movie, and it always needs a few beauties with big breasts and no brains.
I once thought about what kind of woman would hold the deepest place in the heart of a cold-blooded killer. That woman should be as smart and calm as him, and the two of them felt like they were rivals when they met, just like Sherlock Holmes met Erin Adler. She is his the woman, but he is not necessarily her the man.
Four finally said a few words
after watching this movie, I know there are many shortcomings, but I still watched it several times. Every time it gets colder.

The Mechanic quotes

  • Harry McKenna: You're a goddamn machine. You see things. You view people differently than I do, differently than anybody does. But you have a problem, Arthur. You need companionship.

Arthur Bishop: I have you Harry.

Harry McKenna: Oh, then you're in deeper shit than I thought.

  • Arthur Bishop: Not so good for your side.

Dean: Those were my two best teams. Guess I'll have to send more.

Arthur Bishop: Save the fuel. I'm coming for you.
