101 was so crowded after 6, so I took San Antonio exit. Usually, central is the next choice, but Middlefield Rd this time.
When entering Palo Alto, I realized for the first time, that Middlefield is so beautiful, with green trees, nice houses & 25 speed limit.

I took left at university avenue, luckily got a street parking, had sushi & bought movie ticket.
Aquarius is a small cinema, survives among AMC & century by having different movies.
Tonight it's First Position, a documentary about ballet dancers.

Before the movie started, a girl stood in front, welcomed us and wished good time, like a prologue.
After some advertisements, movie begun. Without a partner, I felt quite relax. The only communication will be between the director, performers and me.

I picked this movie because my mom used to want me learn ballet. It was rejected due to my in-confidence & lack of courage.
Though later on I wished my mom had insisted. Besides ballet is graceful and eyeable.

They picked six to seven dancers, from under 10 to above 16, from adopted African girl to immigrant Columbia boy.
I sit in the dark, watching their stories.
I could understand the Japanese mom's crying, just like giving up things you do and love for so many years.
I could understand their pressure before performance, just like the piano certificate perform.
& I could understand that Michaela forgot her pain on the stage, like I forgot lunch while busy coding. :P

They are so young but to face that pressure and competence.
I even teared when the music rang out and Joan got best performance reward, everything pays off.

Well, it's a good movie. I would recommend it.
