I liked the ending of "The Artist" very much: the two danced together, like the dance king and his gold medal female partner. After the dance, they looked at the staff nervously. At this time, the voice came, the rapid breathing, the sound of the scene, and the first audible dialogue appeared in the film. Applause, cheers, noise of reality. Everything returns to reality, everything returns to the movie. What is the essence of film? Is it images, scenes, special effects and stars? No, it's emotion. forever.
I love it, I cried. The ups and downs of life, the ups and downs and the downfalls, are very movingly written. There are a few scenes that are particularly well written. The male protagonist sees a pair of dancing feet under the background cloth, and the two dance against each other across the curtain. He lightly placed a mole on her, turning all living beings upside down. She puts on his clothes and flirts with herself. In the fire, he rescued the last box of film, the first encounter, the cut-out fragment.
"The Great Artist" pays homage to many classic movies. Youxi, the hero, finds a house in the heroine's house, all of which are sold by himself. The eerie statues overlook the monstrous, gigantic palace of Citizen Kane. Although it is a silent film, there are actually two sound and sound passages: one is that the male protagonist is impacted by the sound film, the cups and plates in the nightmare have sound, and everything has sound.

The Artist quotes

  • Peppy Miller: [trying to pressure the studio into letting her do a film with George] I won't work anymore. It's either him or me.

    [Zimmer appears bemused]

Peppy Miller: What I mean is, it's him AND me! Or it's neither of us!

[everybody is still looking at her blankly]

Peppy Miller: Hey, I'm blackmailing you! Get it?

  • Al Zimmer: Perfect! Beautiful! Could you give me just one more?

    George Valentin: With pleasure.
