Girl Interrupted (1999)

This is a movie for beautiful women , There are two big beauties in the film: Winona Ryder and Angelina Jolie. However, I was disappointed after seeing the movie - it was ugly.

The film tells the story of a girl who wants to kill herself while living in a mental hospital. The heroine is very confused after graduating from high school. She not only fucks with her classmate's father, but also casually has sex with men at the bar. Later, the heroine took a lot of medicine and committed suicide. After the heroine was rescued, she went to a mental hospital for treatment according to her parents' intentions. In the mental hospital, the heroine begins to be unhappy. But the heroine's life changes when a long-haired girl is sent back to a mental hospital and the two become friends. In this way, the heroine went crazy with the long-haired girl and other girls. During this period, the heroine had a very happy life, and she even rejected a man who wanted to help her escape. Until one day, after the heroine and the girl with long hair sang to another girl late at night, their lives changed: the girl with long hair was locked up, and the heroine was called to the doctor to talk. A few days later, the long-haired girl dragged the heroine away in the middle of the night and asked her to go to Miami with her. On the way, the two first went to the house of a girl who had been in a mental hospital before. In the home of the discharged girl, the long-haired girl verbally attacked the discharged girl, causing her to commit suicide. The next day, the long-haired girl left as if nothing had happened, and the heroine was immersed in pain. After the heroine returned to the mental hospital, she began to receive medical treatment, and she gradually became happier, happier than when the long-haired girl was there. The heroine was about to recover and be discharged from the hospital, when the long-haired girl was sent back. The long-haired girl found out that the heroine was about to leave, which made her unacceptable. Late one night, the long-haired girl and several other girls peeked at the diary of the heroine and read it aloud. The heroine was very angry and said what she had always wanted to say: the long-haired girl was actually dead, and no one cared about her. In the end, the heroine recovered and was discharged from the hospital. Before she left, she told the long-haired girl to take good treatment and visit her after she was discharged from the hospital.

It's a very boring movie, and it's full of rambling dialogue, about suicide and self-feeling stuff, and it's pretty ugly. In addition, the content of the film is also very vague and confusing. Is it to tell the meaning of life? Or to warn people about the downsides of suicide? Or just tell what it's like to be a suicidal person? All in all, the film is a dull and vaguely themed film, which leaves the viewer on pins and needles for more than two hours.

In my opinion, most of the film is about the feelings and transformations of suicide. However, the feeling of suicide is not described specifically in the film, and most of the film is played by the heroine with other girls. As for the transformation, the movie only changed the heroine through a suicide witnessed by the heroine, which is too Hollywood. This setting doesn't make the audience feel the depth of the movie at all, on the contrary, it makes the movie very dramatic and very fake. Besides, I can't even figure out why that chicken-eating girl committed suicide. It's understandable that this girl was raised as a wife by her father and enjoyed it, but I don't understand why she committed suicide. Is it because of shame? Since she is ashamed, why should she do this? As for the existence of the long-haired girl, it is as the heroine said: although she is alive, her heart is dead. At the same time, the long-haired girl continues to influence other suicides, making them desperate until they commit suicide. The long-haired girl is like a black hole, sucking everything around her. Through the above, you can see that the movie has shaped her very well. However, I can't figure out the setting of this character. There are so many people like long-haired girls who are like walking dead, there is no need to show it alone, it's rare and strange! In short, everything described in the movie made me, the audience, feel nothing, but it made me more and more confused as I watched the movie. Such movies are rare!

The only highlight of the film is the film's music. The music of the whole film is very nice, and various female vocal songs run through the film from beginning to end, adding a romantic, warm and beautiful atmosphere to the film, which is a kind of enjoyment to appreciate. However, this romantic mood is not in harmony with the film's story. In the film, on the one hand, it is about the spiritual world of suicide victims, and on the other hand, it is beautiful music and pictures. What is this? How can the hearts of suicidal people be so beautiful? They are all dark. Hey, the film can still be shot like this, this film is really a must! The director of this film is also an outlier in the film and television industry. Probably the director of this film wanted to use a lyrical way to describe the spiritual world of the girls, but this is not realistic. The heads of suicides are full of beautiful things? Ridiculous!

From the above, it can be seen that the movie is a dull, rambling movie. Not only is it ambiguous in its theme, bizarre in style, and trivial and meaningless in its plot, it is also an absurd film of narcissistic narcissism. In my opinion, most movies about suicide are meaningless, because there is more to show than suicide. Such as love, family, friendship, the good and evil of human nature, people in real life, and several other real-world problems. Instead of talking about irresponsible suicides, make a movie with a positive theme. In conclusion, my point of view is that suicide is a personal act. Since people choose to commit suicide and abandon the world, there is no need for those of us who do not want to commit suicide to stop them. Who made them choose such a path?

The actors in this film are average. The two heroines, Winona Ryder and Angelina Jolie, are both competent performances, not too brilliant. Still, the beauty of Winona Ryder and Angelina Jolie is truly amazing. Winona Ryder has beautiful features, fair skin, and handsome short hair is very attractive. It can be seen that Winona Ryder is a beautiful girl, but she has nothing to do with sexy. Angelina Jolie is another style. Thick lips, huge breasts, and flowing long hair make her beauty only related to sexiness and can be called a stunner. This film has such two big beauties, which is really eye-catching. It's a pity that two beauties acted in such a bad movie. In addition, there are Brittany Murphy, who died suddenly a few years ago, Elisabeth Moss, who starred in "Mad Men", and Whoopi Goldberg, who was famous in the early 1990s. However, the performances of these actors are quite normal and very ordinary.

in conclusion. It's a hard-to-read and hard-to-understand movie, with lots of dialogue, slow rhythm, and vague subject matter, with only the music and the beauty of the actors worth seeing. This kind of movie has received rave reviews in China, which really puzzles me. However, the foreign evaluation is fair - it is not new on Rotten Tomatoes.
